Zenefits Launches Healthcare Benefits Shopping Experience For SMBs

Zenefits Launches SMB Healthcare Benefits Shopping Experience

Human capital management firm Zenefits unveiled the rollout of a healthcare benefits shopping experience that enables small companies to shop, contrast, choose and administer health, vision and dental plans from a single location, according to a Wednesday (Dec. 16) announcement.

Colin Rogers, GM and SVP of benefits at Zenefits, said in the announcement that access to medical services has never been as essential as it is in the present moment.

“The benefits shopping experience is Zenefits’ latest bold move to reimagine health insurance and deliver democratization of affordable healthcare for all employees at any business, at a time when it’s needed more than ever,” Rogers said.

Companies can contrast the best available healthcare insurance prices and plan types to quickly satisfy their requirements from 30 of the biggest carriers in the United States. Zenefits says that “innovative new options” are on offer, such as Sidecar Health, which utilizes a “cash price” model to deliver sizable savings, according to the announcement.

“Our goal is to lower the cost of healthcare for everyone in the U.S. with plans that offer complete transparency and the ability for members to shop for care,” Joe Greenberg, VP at Sidecar Health, said in the announcement. “Partnering with Zenefits expands our reach to small businesses and their employees, where our approach can provide real savings and increase access.”

The new Zenefits shopping experience lets owners of small companies monitor their healthcare benefits from inside the human capital management firm’s platform, and staff members can access it from all devices. In addition, companies can seek help from a benefits broker partner of their choosing.

Zenefits will provide direct access to certified broker partners (CBPs) for companies that don’t have a broker. One Digital will be the inaugural CBP at rollout to help with small business purchasers’ consulting requirements.

Separately, in January, Cigna had unveiled a partnership with Oscar to offer plans and coverage throughout U.S. markets for small companies.
