According to local authorities, Matt Rissell, founder of TSheets, was found dead at his residence in Eagle, Idaho early on Thursday (5/4) from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
A woman, believed to be Rissell's wife, also was found suffering from at least one life-threatening gunshot wound, and was transported to a local hospital.
The Ada County Sheriff responded with units to the residence after a report of gunshots in the early pre-dawn hours. Upon entering the residence, they found Rissell's lifeless body and the woman suffering from severe blood loss.
TSheets (now known as QuickBooks Time), was acquired by Intuit in 2017 for $340-million. It was founded by Rissell and his partner, Brandon Zehm, in 2006.
UPDATE: Authorities are now saying that the woman shot was not Rissell's wife Robin, but another woman he knew.
