Cherry Bekaert Adds Chicago-Area CPA Firm PKF Mueller
During its most recent fiscal year, PKF Mueller had revenue of $37.7 million, making it the 127th largest accounting firm in the U.S.

Top 30 accounting firm Cherry Bekaert has acquired PKF Mueller, a full-service CPA firm based in Elgin, IL.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but as part of the transaction, Cherry Bekaert also receives Mueller dotKonnect, a business process outsourcing firm that specializes in finance, accounting, tax and payroll functions.
“PKF Mueller’s long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional client service presents an exciting opportunity for us to further fortify our footprint in the Chicago area while leveraging our shared portfolio of services,” Cherry Bekaert CEO Michelle Thompson said in a press release on Oct. 19. “We’re thrilled to be combining forces with a firm of such stature. Anticipating the collaboration with PKF Mueller and their clients, we are poised to amplify the spectrum of advisory excellence accessible to them.”
Founded in 1968, PKF Mueller has three Illinois offices—in Elgin, Chicago, and Orland Park—as well as an office in Sarasota, FL. The firm provides accounting, tax, assurance, and management consulting services to privately held and publicly traded companies, local governments, and not-for-profit organizations within a wide variety of industries.
