B2B eCommerce solutions provider TIE Kinetix is strengthening its position in the world of business-to-government procurement.

The company announced late last week that it is launching a B2G eInvoicing solution in its Exact product, enabling government suppliers to send digital invoices to national and local government institutions.

TIE Kinetix is partners with Exact, a logistics, manufacturing and CRM software provider. This added feature for Exact users will roll out in the U.S. and Europe, TIE Kinetix said. Collectively, these markets account for 25 billion corporate invoices every year; digitizing those invoices could save $255 billion over the next six years, the company said.

“The demand for exchanging invoices securely via a direct connection from the ERP environment is a trend we have been noticing over the last year,” said TIE Kinetix CEO Jan Sundelin in a statement. “Our new partnership with Exact, to offer a fully integrated solution directly connected with Exact’s software, shows how increasingly important these secure document exchange connections are becoming. Together we offer a total integrated solution via our FLOW Partner Automation Cloud-based Platform that offers our joint customers stability, security and reliability.”

“eInvoicing has many advantages,” added Exact global Product Marketing Directly Jarno van Hurne in another statement. “It saves a lot of manual interaction, decreases the chance on errors and is better for the environment as well by decreasing paper usage and transportation costs. The exchange between Exact software and TIE Kinetix is an important step forward to let our joint customers make use of eInvoicing. This fits with our vision on the future of finance and our ‘no hands’ accounting concept.”
