BMSS Brings on CPA Firm Haddox Reid Eubank Betts

Top 200 accounting firm BMSS Advisors & CPAs has combined with Haddox Reid Eubank Betts, a Ridgeland, MS-based CPA and advisory firm.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Consolidated under the BMSS name, the combined firm has 32 partners and 125 CPAs for approximately 325 employees in total. Together with Haddox Reid, the combined revenue for BMSS will be roughly $63.7 million, which would put the firm among the 100 largest in the U.S.

“Through our time together, we have come to see how we both reflect and complement our respective firm’s culture, values, and focus on an exceptional client experience,” said BMSS Managing Member Don Murphy, who established the Birmingham, AL-based firm with Keith Barfield and John Shank in 1991. “Our combined firms will provide opportunities for our employees, widen our client base and expand the industries we serve.”

Haddox Reid has been in business for more than 60 years and provides high-quality professional services to many of Mississippi’s leading companies and individuals. Haddox Reid’s Ridgeland office will establish the first BMSS location outside of Alabama.

Haddox Reid and BMSS have both been independent members of the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting, and service firms with similar client service goals of providing exceptional client service. Haddox Reid Managing Member Mike Gladney has participated in a BDO managing partner roundtable with Murphy for several years.
