ICPAS SUMMIT23 Returns Offers Summer CPE and Networking Event for Accounting and Finance Professionals

ICPAS SUMMIT23, which carries the theme, “Expanding the possibilities,” will offer 44 educational sessions hosted by 46 unique thought leaders, including four keynote presentations.

The Illinois CPA Society’s (ICPAS) annual educational event for accounting and finance professionals aims to help attendees navigate the future and expand their possibilities. Returning to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. on August 22-23, ICPAS SUMMIT23 is set to offer unparalleled in-person and virtual learning opportunities from some of the most influential people in the accounting profession during the two-day event.

ICPAS SUMMIT23, which carries the theme, “Expanding the possibilities,” will offer 44 educational sessions hosted by 46 unique thought leaders, including four keynote presentations.

The keynote, “State of the CPA Profession: Embracing the Possibilities,” presented by ICPAS President and CEO Geoffrey Brown, CAE, and ICPAS Board of Directors Chairperson and KPMG Partner Jonathan Hauser, CPA, will highlight the trends and challenges impacting certified public accountants (CPAs) and discuss navigating the profession’s future and ensuring its continued relevance.

Other keynotes include “Techs, Trends, and Disruptors” by technologist Roman Kepczyk, CPA, CITP, CGMA, LSS BB, director of firm technology strategy at Right Networks; “All Eyes on the Economy” by Derek Sasveld, CFA, director of investment strategy and research at Busey Wealth Management; and “Running a Business in a Chaotic Environment” by Dorri McWhorter, CPA, CGMA, CIA, MBA, president and CEO of YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

Beyond the keynotes, innovative learning tracks will cover the areas of accounting, auditing, corporate finance, ethics, personal development, tax, and technology.
