International CPA exam testing expanded

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, the American Institute of CPAs and Prometric announced that qualified Uniform CPA Examination candidates applying to participating jurisdictions can test at any international location where the CPA exam is currently offered, effective June 2, 2022.

Qualified international CPA exam candidates were previously eligible based on jurisdictions participating in the international administration of the CPA exam, and they were limited to testing sites based on residency and citizenship. Now, when a candidate from a participating jurisdiction qualifies to take the CPA exam, they can test at any international Prometric Test Center where the CPA exam is offered. Prometric Test Centers exclude the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.

The move aims to offer more flexibility for international test-takers and to encourage more international students to pursue CPA licensure.
