Ashley Johnson, a Founding Partner and strategic leader at J&F Advisors, PLLC, is committed to advancing the firm’s mission and elevating it among the top CPA firms in Detroit. In her capacity, she effectively oversees revenues, manages cash flow, and directs credit operations. In the past year, Ashley was honored with the “Impact CPA” award by the MICPA in recognition of her substantial contributions to the accounting industry. Furthermore, she received the “Spirit of Detroit” award and “Mayor’s Proclamation” for her positive influence on the local community. Ashley has also mentored several aspiring CPA’s, recently endorsing the professional experience of J&F Advisors’ first staff accountant, who achieved CPA licensure in November 2023.

What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
Committed to fostering diversity in accounting, Ashley co-founded the Minority Accounting Career Resource Society (MACRS), a non-profit dedicated to empowering minority students to excel as CPAs. Ashley’s successful advocacy secured $750,000 in donations, enabling the official launch of MACRS in December 2023. As President & CEO, her current emphasis is on implementing programs for high school and college students in Metro Detroit, with a future vision to extend this initiative to major cities nationwide. This proactive outreach contributes to building a more inclusive accounting profession on a local and national scale.
