The American Institute of CPAs has announced the 50 winners of the 2022 Elijah Watt Sells Award. This award is granted to CPA candidates who obtain a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, pass all four sections on their first attempt and have completed testing in 2022.

Per guidance from CRA re convention expenses with respect to self employed taxpayers who either carry on a business or practice a profession (Lawyers, doctors, CPAs, Engineers etc.), Eg, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants would have to hold the qualifying event somewhere in Canada otherwise the deduction might be denied.
