Stock Market Update and Silicon Valley Bank Insights

This Thursday, I will be presenting a webinar with my Stock Market Update and next Wednesday, my insights about what happened at Silicon Valley Bank. These are two very timely topics that clients have expressed much interest in. Both are free, but you must pre-register.

Thursday, April 20, at Noon (EDT), I will be presenting my Stock Market Update as part of the Take A Business Break Webinar Series for the East Brunswick Public Library. Attendees will receive a 100-page reference booklet with 33 charts and 3 self-assessment graphs that I will describe during the fast-paced 1-hour webinar.

I will be presenting an encore webinar on how the accounting rules did not identify the problems at Silicon Valley Bank, along with a mini-lesson on who should invest in long-term bonds. This is a serious Continuing Professional Education program for CPAs, but I believe anyone interested in what happened would gain valuable information on how the accounting rules work and how they were handled when confronted with the outside-the-box risks SVB presented. This webinar will be on Wednesday, April 26, at 9:00 am (EDT). Register here. I also posted a column about the GAAP aspects of SVB’s financial reporting that may be of interest.

I hope to “see you” at these two free webinars, which I spent considerable time preparing and also working out an easy-to-follow presentation. This is important stuff!
