Withum is excited to welcome Megan Budd to the Firm’s Cannabis Sector Services Team as an Audit Principal.
With over 16 years of experience, Megan’s industry expertise includes healthcare, not-for-profit and employee benefit plans, in addition to her specialty in the Cannabis sector. She will grow the Firm’s presence in the industry in the New England region, complementing the efforts of Withum’s Providence, RI office. In her former role at a Top 15 Firm, Megan was the New England Cannabis Industry Leader, where she also taught national employee benefit plan in-house training.
A practiced public speaker, Megan is a known SME in all things cannabis and business, having spoken at several assurance and auditing conferences on various topics regarding auditing and financial reporting.
We can’t wait to start working with Megan. Her complex experience in the cannabis industry, technical experience in compliance and reporting and her forward-thinking mindset make her a most welcome addition to our team.

Megan is an active member of her community, having served as President of the Connecticut Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association and currently volunteers for Junior Achievement at her local elementary school. Based in Connecticut, Megan is also a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA).
