Navigating an inflation while the Federal Reserve is trying to cause a recession is confusing and could have harsh consequences. I will be presenting a webinar Thursday February 16 at Noon for the East Brunswick Public Library on what is happening and might happen and how to protect yourself and be prepared for either eventuality or anything in between.

This Zoom program will explain some of the history of inflation and depressions and the dire consequences of each. You will be walked through an almost 4000-year history of inflation, how governments have been brought down by inflation and how inflation was the spark that ignited the start of the Dark Ages. History lessons are interesting but using the knowledge of what has occurred to arrange your affairs can help you to not fall prey to the terrible things that could flow from inflation or a recession.

Also discussed will be the likelihood of what might happen and a one-line test to help provide you with perspective on what actions you could take. This program will give you practical guidance of what you can do.

The program is part of the Take a Business Break series I have been presenting for the East Brunswick Public Library since May 2020 after COVID shut down the Library and is co-sponsored by Withum and is free. It will be on Zoom but you must register in advance.

For those that do not know me, I am an emeritus partner at Withum, one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People, the author of 30 books and adjunct professor at Baruch College. I am also accredited by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a personal financial specialist.

I look forward to “seeing” you Thursday.
