How do you properly “welcome” someone? For me, I’m going to throw my arms open wide and welcome Tiffany Beltis as the new leader of the ProAdvisor Program.
Tiffany has a big job ahead of her. I could have said that of all the ProAdvisor Program leaders in past years, including those first leaders when ProAdvisors were only recognized in the United States.
But now that ProAdvisors are not only recognized around the globe, but earning certifications in many countries and regions where Intuit has focused its attentions with QuickBooks, those of us here in the US must realize there soon will be more than five times as many ProAdvisors outside the US as within it.
That means Tiffany’s position will be critical to ensuring the program meets the continuing needs of domestic ProAdvisors and the demands of the growing ProAdvisor community worldwide.
I can feel for Tiffany on this later topic since I'm struggling with similar concerns in trying to provide mechanisms for greater inclusion of ProAdvisors from around the world within the Top 100 and ProAdvisor of the Year Awards.
But focusing back on Tiffany, I’m super excited to hear she has a history with QuickBooks Desktop at Intuit. While she recently worked with the process of Desktop Migration to QuickBooks Online, she will at least understand ProAdvisors who support Desktop products and the needs of their Desktop clients.
We have always been fortunate to have good people leading the ProAdvisor Program. Some of them had more support, opportunities and bigger budgets, which enabled them to get more things done, but all of them did their best to accomplish as much as possible for the ProAdvisor community with whom they partnered.
Based on what Tiffany has said from the quotes appearing in the official Intuit press announcements, she will be another in a list of great leaders so long as we all give her a chance to shine.
So please, join me in welcoming her with open arms.
