Ripple has responded to a lawsuit against it, saying that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s opinion that its XRP cryptocurrency is a security is false, a filing says. The SEC contests that Ripple’s digital coin counts as a security and, as such, the SEC is allowed to regulate it.
