ConvergenceCoaching opens up 2022 remote work survey

Leadership and management consulting firm ConvergenceCoaching has launched its 2022 Anytime, Anywhere Work Survey, which measures the adoption of remote and flexible work practices at accounting firms.

The survey asks about a wide range of practices and policies related to remote work, including return-to-office strategies, remote reimbursement policies, asynchronous work and hybrid learning strategies.

ConvergenceCoaching has been conducting the annual survey since 2014, and it routinely offers a detailed snapshot of the profession's evolving attitudes toward and practices around remote work. With more accounting professionals than ever working remotely thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the results of this year's survey are expected to be of particular interest, as more and more firms plan how, when and if to bring staff back into the office.

“We have a lot of innovative accounting firm clients who have incorporated remote and flex work and client service into their operating model and strategies. This allows them to recruit and retain talent and clients independent of geography or team member personal-life status,” said Jennifer Wilson, co-founder and partner at ConvergenceCoaching, in a statement. “Yet there are still firm leaders out there driving team members away from our profession with a ‘return to office’ strategy, going backwards in a market that’s hurtling forward. We’re excited to hear the latest on firms’ remote and flex work practices so we can give others a clearer picture of where the profession is headed.”

Only one person per firm — preferably the managing partner or an HR professional — should complete the survey, which is available here. The survey will closed July 15, and participants will receive a summary of the results in November.
