Editor’s Note: In the continual pursuit of business as usual in the aftermath of the recent pandemic, there have been myriad lessons learned. To see how some of the industry’s leading professionals handled the situation, we asked our Top 100 ProAdvisors to share some of their insights. Following is another in a series of our conversations with them. Here's Artesani Bookkeeping's Lynda Artesani:
What has/have been the most impactful change(s) you have made in your firm over the last 18 months?
The most impactful change we have made in the last 18 months is narrowly focusing on mid-market-sized law firms. We have redirected our marketing to align with the issues these firms are facing so they know that a solution is only a phone call or contact form away. Additionally, we have dedicated resources toward helping these firms automate processes and become future-ready and cloud-based.
How have these changes impacted your overall business?
Our firm is growing. We have been adding fantastic clients and working toward adding even more technology solutions when it comes to the law firm's financial picture and growth.
What were the most challenging aspects of implementing these changes and how did you overcome the challenges?
As most accounting firms are experiencing, the most challenging aspect is finding the right talented people to add to our team. We are grateful for our staff and we love the culture we have developed. When there is an urgent need or a reason we have to jump in for a client, all our staff are ready and willing to help. For me and Sarah, it is more about if the person fits right with our firm's mission and culture. We know we can develop the skills and train from there.
