PKF Mueller Joins Cherry Bekaert to Expand Chicago Market Reach
Cherry Bekaery, an assurance, tax and advisory firm, recently completed an acquisition transaction with PKF Mueller, a full-service certified public accounting and business advisory firm located in the metropolitan Chicago area. The strategic acquisition also encompasses Mueller dotKonnect, a business process outsourcing firm specializing in finance, accounting, tax and payroll functions. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in Cherry Bekaert’s journey, as it expands its reach and bolsters its commitment to delivering exceptional services to clients in the Chicago area and beyond.
Founded in 1968, PKF Mueller has offices in Elgin, Chicago and Orland Park, Illinois, as well as an office in Sarasota, Florida. The acquisition strengthens Cherry Bekaert’s reach in the Illinois market, supporting the Firm’s strategic growth plans. PKF Mueller clients will benefit from new and innovative business advisory services included in Cherry Bekaert’s robust portfolio.
MaloneBailey, LLP Welcomes Howie Tang, New Audit Partner
MaloneBailey, LLP, a global, mid-market, public accounting firm based in Houston, Texas, recently announced that Howie Tang, CPA has joined the firm as an Audit Partner. Tang brings more than 13 years of public accounting and audit experience with large regional CPA firms. He has extensive experience managing Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) audits in the United States, many of which he led through the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process.
Tang’s experience includes (but is not limited to) serving clients in the following industries: pharmaceutical, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, environmental protection, real estate and construction, petroleum, mining, education, retail and consumer product, financing, e-commerce, digital advertising and other financial consulting services. Tang joins the firm from Marcum Asia CPAs LLP where he served as an Audit Partner.
In his role as Audit Partner, effective December 1, Tang will be responsible for leading engagement teams that conduct audits of financial statements and other assurance services for public companies in a variety of different industries. Tang will be based in China with the majority of his time dedicated to serving companies in China and Hong Kong that trade on stock exchanges in the United States.
