Anders Names 5 New Partners for 2023

Anders is proud to announce that Brent Kaniecki, Lesley Sanchez, CPA, Justin Marty, CPA, Luke Luckett, CPA/PFS, CEPA, and Nathan Stonner, CPA are being named partners of the firm, effective January 2023. The new group of partners was announced at Anders annual September firm meeting, where the entire firm comes together. They will join the rest of the partner group in guiding the firm, identifying new opportunities, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.  

About Brent Kaniecki 

Brent joined the firm in 2004 and has used his time with Anders to help the firm strategically develop new business. His wide-ranging industry experience includes manufacturing and distribution, real estate and construction, along with health care organizations and professional services firms. Brent spent his first 16 years at Anders helping to build the Firm’s Technology Practice. Being knowledgeable in so many different areas, Brent quickly became indispensable with both the firm and clients. Brent’s ability to parlay his extensive experience into actionable solutions for clients aided the firm’s efforts to broaden our advisory practice into the comprehensive service we offer today. 

Brent graduated from the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing and Accounting. He is also a graduate of the Sandler Sales Institute President’s Club program, as well as the Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual Selling methodology. About Lesley Sanchez 

Having joined the firm in 2009, Lesley primarily works with privately held companies, particularly those in banking and financial institutions as well as manufacturing, hospitality and construction. Her clients have benefited from Lesley’s exhaustive experience with various consulting services, including accounting process and internal control improvements, as well as quality of earnings analysis and financial statement due diligence. Complex financial reporting issues such as business acquisitions, equity compensation and revenue recognition are other areas of expertise for Lesley. She also specializes in conducting employee benefit plan audits for defined benefit plans and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).  

Lesley is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Accounting from St. Louis University and a B.S. in Agriculture and Consumer Economics with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA). Lesley is also a graduate of The Rainmaker Academy. Lesley served as the President and Vice President of Anders Young Professional Staff Advisory Group. About Justin Marty 

After joining the firm as an intern, Justin worked his way through the ranks within the Anders Tax department. His specific experience in labor, welfare, pension, vacation and other funds has served his not-for-profit organization clients, including labor unions, well. By serving a broad array of industries, including real estate companies, startups, manufacturers and distributors, Justin offers his clients an encyclopedic base of financial and tax knowledge that they know they can trust.  

Justin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri Saint Louis. He received a B.S. in Accounting from the same university. Justin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA). At Anders, Justin served on the Tax Research team and assisted in selecting new research software CCH AnswerConnect for the firm. Learn more about Justin Marty.  

About Luke Luckett  

Luke has brought an assortment of expertise since joining the firm in 2010. As a Personal Finance Specialist (PFS) and a Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA), he offers his clients a wide variety of tax and family wealth experience. His specialty areas include individual and trust tax planning, estate planning, executive cashflow planning, business transition planning and stock option planning. Luke serves as an excellent ambassador of the expertise Anders has to offer as a whole.   

A Certified Public Accountant, Luke holds a B.S in Accounting and B.S. in Finance from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA) where he received the 2018 Outstanding Young Professional Award and previously served as the Chair of the St. Louis Chapter. In addition to his American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) membership, Luke was selected to be part of the AICPA Leadership Academy class of 2017. Also in 2017, Luke was named one of the 30 under 30 by the St. Louis Business Journal. He is a graduate of the Rainmaker Academy, where he received the Spirit of Rainmaker award. Luke is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis. At Anders, he has served in several different leadership roles within our internal professional groups. As a member of the Young Professionals Steering Committee, Luke served as the Secretary, Vice Chair, and Committee Chair. As a member of the Young Professional Staff Advisory Group, Luke served as the Secretary, Vice Chair and two terms as the Committee Chair. Luke has also been a part of several initiatives within Anders, including the Tax Quality Control team and the Tax Document Retention team. Learn more about Luke Luckett.  

About Nathan Stonner 

Initially joining the firm in 2011 as a tax intern, Nathan soon became a trusted advisor in the tax department where he works with high net-worth individuals, business owners, and flow-through entities on tax planning and advisory. His ability to operate on both the business and individual levels has proven beneficial to both the firm and his clients. After spending years gaining experience in family wealth and estate planning, Nathan has become trusted source of advice and support to his clients specifically and the entire firm in general. While working within the Anders Health Care Group, he has also gained invaluable experience from working with many physician-owned health care practices.  

Nathan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Missouri and an active member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He holds a M.S. and a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He was named a 2021 St. Louisan to Know to Succeed in Business by Small Business Monthly and serves on the finance committee of the Missouri Athletic Club. Nathan served in every leadership position available in Anders Young Professional Staff Advisory Group, including as Committee Chair.
