Doc.It by IRIS now sports cloud functionality

IRIS Software Group announced that its document management solution, Doc.It, now has cloud functionality in addition to its on-premises capabilities.

IRIS acquired Doc.It last year, partially as a way for the U.K.-based company to further expand into the U.S. market.

The software is also integrated with DocuSign which, combined with its new PDF editor capabilities, eliminates the need to deploy solutions from multiple providers. Firms should also be able to automatically file non-PDF documents. The solution also allows for automated email notifications and leverages multifactor authentication for added security. Both cloud and on-site users have access to the same functionality.

IRIS developed the cloud solution in response to growing demand for automated systems offering flexibility and scalability.

"Efficient document management is essential to running a successful accounting firm, and every firm has different needs based on their clients' requirements, current technology solutions and future growth plans," said Don Emery, general manager for Doc.It by IRIS, in a statement. "We are excited to introduce these new document management capabilities to offer firms expanded scalability through cloud software. IRIS is committed to taking the pain out of processes, and these new features will allow firms to decrease time spent on document management and increase focus on delivering valuable services to their clients to further drive growth."
