I received the following press release from the Illinois CPA Society. They are unveiling the findings from research they have done relating to the decline in CPA candidates. It seems that accounting students don’t see the value in devoting the time and energy to become a CPA.

The Texas Senate unanimously passed a bill on Tuesday that would lower the eligibility requirement for CPA candidates to sit for the CPA exam from 150 semester credit hours to 120.
