New Jersey Society of CPAs Announces CPA Exam Lottery Winners

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants has awarded 10 of its members $750 each towards their CPA Exam fee costs. Last year, New Jersey Senate Resolution ( SR101 ), sponsored by Senator Steven Oroho (R-24) and Senate President Nick Scutari (D-22), designated Nov. 12 as New Jersey CPA Week.

Integrating Experience and Education is One Way to Ease the Accountant Shortage at Least a Little

One idea that has been batted around and deployed on a limited basis is integrating work experience in public accounting and college credit to grant units toward the additional 30 required. In New Jersey, they are piloting a program that grants credit for work. We’ll have to wait to see how that shakes out.
